This week I have been like a one woman cleaning machine. My sister and her partner Allie are coming to stay for the school holidays. For some reason when we are expecting house guests I always feel the need to have a spring clean and I usually achieve more in one week than I achieve in months with no motivation. Nothing is spared. I actually find it quite cathartic. Jobs that have been waiting for months to be done are completed. Old is given the heave Ho. The pile of clothes that have been waiting for me to list on eBay is in the boot of my car to be given to charity. My pot drawers have never looked so clean and the oven is falling apart because the grease is no longer holding it together. By the time Leslie gets here I will feel able to sit back, relax and enjoy her company.
I am assuming that the two of them will get here OK. Christchurch is experiencing Arctic conditions at the moment and their drive over from the West Coast was slow and difficult.
Drive safely Leslie.
