I snapped this photo of Lulu without her knowledge (hence the poor quality). When she realised I had taken it she was horrified.
“I hope you’re not going to put that on your blog” she said with one eye still on the Barbies.
“Why would that worry you?”
“Because then I’ll be known as the ten year old who still plays with Barbies.”
“There is nothing wrong with a ten year old playing with her Barbies, Lulu. You have nothing to be ashamed of.”
Satisfied, she went back to playing.
I love the fact that she squeezes every little bit out of being a child while she can. She is and, I hope, always will be a glass-half-full girl. I’m not sure where she gets that from as I can’t even find the damn glass!
