Muesli is so easy to make. It is great for breakfast as it is filling and best of all contains
- 4 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups rice bran
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup pepitas
- 1/4 cup of chia*
- 1/2 cup nuts (use any nuts you like eg. almonds, walnuts or a mixture)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup juice
Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
Combine these ingredients and spread on oven tray. Place in oven and set timer for 8 minutes. After 8 minutes break mixture up making sure there are no big lumps. Replace in oven for a further 8 minutes. When done stir again, turn oven off and leave mixture in to fully dry out.
When completely cool add 1 1/2 cups of dried fruit such as sultanas, chopped figs, craisins. I usually try to stick with fruit which does not contain preservatives.
